Revision to Local Rules - No relief from filled divots but wooden fences are now treated as Obstructions

The revised Rules and Definitions are as follows

DEFINITIONS

1. OBSTRUCTIONS
Artificial surfaces, sides of roads and paths, sprinkler heads, irrigation control boxes, manhole and access covers, tee markers, yardage markers, wooden steps, wooden fences, shelters and the pump station to the right of the 18th are all immovable obstructions: (Rule 24 applies).

LOCAL RULES

1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27-1)
Beyond any, line of white posts, hedges, ditches or fences bounding the course.
When playing holes 4, 16, 17 or 18, any ball lying on or beyond the footpath is out of bounds.
A ball in the fields to the left of 12 and 13 cannot be recovered.

2. WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26)
Water hazards are marked with yellow stakes.
Lateral water hazards are marked with red stakes.
Non-grass covered bridges are deemed to be part of the water hazard; there is no relief, however a club may be grounded without penalty.

3. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (Rule 25-1)
Play is prohibited within G.U.R areas.

4. STONES IN BUNKERS (Rule 24-1)
Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions.

5. PROTECTION OF STAKED AND YOUNG TREES
Staked trees (Rule 24-2(b)(i) applies).
Plantation areas marked with a white line; a player must take relief (Rule 25-1 applies).

6. BALL EMBEDDED IN ITS OWN PITCH MARK
Relief may be taken from a ball embedded in its own pitch mark, “Through the Green” (Rule 25-2 applies).

7. TRACTOR MARKS
Relief may be taken from clearly defined marks left by tractors or other mechanical machinery: (Rule 25-1(b) applies).

8. SPECIAL
When playing to the 4th green a ball which lies on the 17th green,the player must proceed under Rule 25-3.
When playing to the 17th green a ball which lies on the 4th green must be lifted and dropped in the designated dropping zone in front of the hazard to the right of the 17th green.
Winter greens at holes 2, 6, 11, 13, 15, 17 & 18 are G.U.R.: (Rule 25-1 applies).

All fairway yardage markers are to the centre of the green.

PLEASE AVOID SLOW PLAY

Players are to keep up with the group ahead and not just in front of the group behind.
