Dress Standards

Sale Golf Club welcomes all members and guests and invites them to use and enjoy our course and clubhouse facilities.

With our dress code, we aim to strike the right balance between appropriate standards for a golf club environment and common sense practicality.

We ask that all members and guests to use their common sense and good judgement in respecting our dress code.

ON THE COURSE AND PRACTISE AREAS

Clean, smart, recognised golf attire and golf shoes is the dress code for the course and practise areas at all times.

• Shirts should have collars and sleeves (sleeveless is acceptable for ladies but not narrow strapped tops) and without messages or slogans
• Denim clothing is not considered recognised golf attire
• Shorts are perfectly acceptable if they are tailored

IN THE CLUBHOUSE

Clean, smart casual wear or golf wear is the dress code for the clubhouse at all times, unless a specific event in the clubhouse states otherwise. All outdoor protective clothing including coats, anoraks, fleeces etc should be left in the rear hall.

In addition to the guidelines relating to the clubhouse and course above:

• Tracksuits are not considered to be smart casual
• Denim wear is not permitted except for trades people working at the club
• Juniors are welcome to wear smart clean trainers except at formal functions
• Tailored shorts are considered smart casual wear

AT PRIZE PRESENTATIONS

Prize winners and those accepting prizes for others
• Gentlemen - suits or jacket and trousers with shirt and tie
• Ladies - smart clothing
