LADY PRESIDENT'S REPORT

As we don’t have a printed newsletter now and I am still without my computer my report nearly slipped through the ‘net’ instead of on it. However, if a little late, I would like to wish you all a very happy and healthy new year.

I have had a most enjoyable past year and found the games I played with Mr President in mixed summer league good fun and most enjoyable. Unfortunately I had to pull out of the golfing scene owing to a hip operation but now I hope to back ‘hip hopping’ on the course in the Spring.

We have had a very hard winter and I hope this will be a good omen for lots of sun this year. I will probably complain that it’s TOO HOT!

I have been so proud to be the Lady President of our wonderful teams which have won three fantastic shields. I had the pleasure to witness two of the matches, most exciting. Well done girls!

I feel congratulations must go to Maureen, our bar manager, also to Howard and Christine for organising all the successful social events. Long may we keep our chef, Rick? All these events help to keep the happy club for which we are known.

The 200 Club seems to be providing some extra cash and benefits the club; they say ‘charity begins at home’. I had a small win, now I’m hoping for the BIG ONE!

Many thanks to Mr Captain and Sophia for a great year and also it’s been most enjoyable spending time with Lady Captain and Michael.

I would like to wish the incoming Captain, President, Lady Captain and Lady President a most successful and happy term of office.
