Council have again decided for the time being to suspend By Law 2.16 regarding the use of Mats. During winter 2013-14 we will again be allowed to lift clean and place on all closely mown areas.
Notwithstanding this to maintain the condition of the course it would be appreciated if as many people as possible carry a bag or if unable to do so use a pull trolley and a lighter bag as opposed to an electric trolley and a tournament bag.
All golfers are also urged to take note of the white lines which direct trolleys away from greens, to avoid areas marked off as GUR or with white hoops, to use paths when provided and wherever possible to avoid walking between greens and adjacent greenside bunkers.
