Calm Kehoe Holds Nerve in Nail-Biter
Sale Ladies progressed to the next round of the Bell Cup in a very closely fought match at Stand Golf Club.
The Bell Cup is the ladies equivalent to the mens Dunham Forest Trophy. There are 7 players in a team. Full handicap difference, matchplay.
The match was tied at 3-3. Sale player Jenny Kehoe, who was making her Bell Cup debut, was 1 up going down the 18th. Quite a crowd had gathered with lots of supporters from both Clubs enjoying the tense match. Debutant Jenny thrilled her team mates and the Sale supporters by halving the hole and securing a place in the next round against either Deane GC or Farnworth GC.
Congratulations to the Ladies and especially to Jenny for a great performance.
